Sales Associate

Scallop Imaging is currently seeking a Sales Associate. Scallop Imaging designs and manufactures innovative and award winning security cameras in Boston, Massachusetts. The candidate will work in the Boston office. The location is accessible by public transportation and conveniently located near major highways and Boston Logan Airport.

Responsibilities:

Hunt for new business that will include cold calling, email campaigns, and demonstrations
Collaborate with a network of partners, distributors, and manufacturing representatives
Build an activity plan that includes a strategy to develop new business
Have a strong ability to close business and qualify sales leads
Participate in trades shows, conferences, and customer meetings to promote the customers awareness of Scallop Imaging's services and capabilities.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of applicable sales experience or prior experience in the security camera industry
College degree preferred or combination of experience and college course work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-driven personality; high energy level, and an entrepreneurial spirit
This position will include a base salary and incentives based on volume of cameras sold.

Scallop Imaging has a unique approach to camera technology. We use multiple, small yet powerful video sensors and fuse the outputs in the camera. This produces a seamless-panoramic 180° view with high resolution zoom details where you need them.  Scallop Imaging cameras are the only ones in the market that mimic human vision.
Our cameras are unobtrusive, have low bandwidth, and storage requirements. One Scallop camera can replace from three to five traditional cameras offering a great savings in the amount of cabling and installation, network video recorders and software licenses required.  Famous museums, box stores, and federal facilities have adopted our cameras.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Company Information:

Scallop Imaging is a division of Tenebraex Corporation focused on developing products using distributed imaging technology. Our first product is a 7 Mpixel 180° camera (the”D7-180”) targeted toward security and surveillance applications. This product has been highly acclaimed and featured in, among others, the New York Times and MIT’s Tech Review.

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to be based at the company’s headquarters in Boston, MA. Scallop Imaging is nearing the launch of full production of the D7-180 and the successful candidate will have experience in managing the start-up of a full-scale production line that involves multiple outside contract manufacturers and vendors and the internal assembly and calibration of the product before shipment.

In this position candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Interface between company management and outside vendors and contract manufacturers 
  • Analyze and help plan Scallop Imaging work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow
  • Develop step-by-step methods for assembling and calibrating the products internally before shipment
  • Design the layout of Scallop Imaging assembly equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Recommend changes in the design of a product to make it easier or less costly to produce
  • Confer with company management on production capabilities, schedules, and problems
  • Arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate them according to specifications and quality standards
  • Estimate internal assembly and calibration times and determine how many workers are required to meet production schedules
  • Devise racks, bins, or other containers that protect parts and insure quality
  • Work closely with internal and external quality control team to maintain ISO standards


Occupational Specialties:

The ideal candidate will have experience working within OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requirements and working within ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate for this position will have a Bachelors of Science degree and a minimum of 10-15 years manufacturing experience preferably specializing in complex consumer electronics products preferably with experience designing and starting up a new product production line.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision and be comfortable working in a small entrepreneurial environment.

Software Engineer

Tenebraex Corporation, an established, innovative optical technology company, is seeking a software engineer.

Candidate will have demonstrated experience in web development, including Flash, and working knowledge of both Windows and Mac development platforms, as well as version control systems.
Experience with mobile platforms (eg. Windows mobile, iPhone, etc) is highly desirable.
